The Genesis Ledger serves every domain where original work matters — scientific research, medicine, invention, publishing, education, music, art, law, journalism, business, spiritual teaching, and the consciousness and wellness sectors. Over 1,500 proofs have already been anchored on-chain since early testing began.

The blockchain timestamping category has existed since 2013, with platforms including OriginStamp, OpenTimestamps, Stampd.io, and ScoreDetect serving different corners of the market. According to an independent competitive review, The Genesis Ledger now ranks among the top five platforms in the category — distinguished by its optional cryptographic wallet-based identity signing, which lets creators bind their identity to their work, proving authorship alongside existence.

"Truth needs a timestamp," said Jeffrey Alan Gruhlke, Founder and Architect of the JAG Universe. The Genesis Ledger gives them that record — instantly, permanently, and without asking anyone for permission."

The platform uses SHA-256 cryptographic hashing computed in-browser — the same algorithm securing Bitcoin and SSL worldwide — meaning original files never leave the creator's device. Only the fingerprint is anchored to the Polygon blockchain. Each proof is written on-chain in seconds, independently verifiable on Polygonscan, and persists permanently.

The Genesis Ledger also sits inside a broader JAG Universe principle called "Copies Cannot Generate" — the idea that authentic creators keep producing new work, while counterfeits freeze at the point of theft. As creators anchor successive proofs over time, their on-chain record becomes a growing, verifiable body of work.
