In 1848, three sisters—Margaret, Kate, and Leah Fox—became at the center of one of the most controversial and mysterious stories in American history.

Their story would help ignite the Spiritualist movement and leave behind questions that still fascinate us today.

But there's another reason this story has become deeply personal for me.

I am also one of three Fox sisters.
