The National Museum of Transportation Seeking New Board Members
TelAve News/10867641
ST. LOUIS - TelAve -- The National Museum of Transportation Board of Directors is currently implementing the organization's five-year strategic long-range plan. Dr. Darryl Ross, President of the Board, stated, "We have been a valued member of the St. Louis Community for more than 80 years. We want to ensure that we have the ability to stay a vibrant member of the community, preserving our transportation heritage for decades to come. That requires growing our Board of Directors."
To support this growth, the Museum is seeking new Board members from the community.
The Board meets monthly, and potential candidates should be able to contribute or raise $15,000.00 annually for the organization through outreach, sponsorships, or donations. Dr. Ross added, "We are looking for visionary community members and leaders in the corporate community with the financial capabilities to assist the Museum in its ongoing fundraising efforts. We are one of the very few museums in the area that receive zero government funding. Because of that, we rely on the community to thrive. We need corporate sponsors and support."
