NIKKO, Japan - TelAve -- Beginning Saturday, March 16, 2024, Tobu Railway will introduce two new Spacia X train sets! The private Limited Express Train Service Operating between Tobu Asakusa Station in Tokyo and Tobu Nikko Station will now run a total of four train sets on six round trips daily so that even more customers can use their upscale express train service.
With the additional service, some of the premium seating charges will also be adjusted. There will be no adjustments to regular fare, limited express surcharges – for either standard or premium seats, or Box Seating Charges.
Affected Seating and Seat Charge Adjustments
In addition, Tobu will expand the priority service for the Café Counter. Previously, only Cockpit Lounge customers had priority. However, once the new timetable takes effect, passengers in the Cockpit Suite and Compartments will also be given priority.

Another new addition is that GOEN CAFÉ SPACIA X, located in Car #1, has just begun selling CHOCOTTO NIKKO "Nikko Traveling Strawberry Chocolate." This is a new, original milk chocolate candy, richly coated in white chocolate and filled with "Tochiotomes" – high quality strawberries from Tochigi Prefecture. It is a collaboration project with the TENTO chocolate company, located on the approach to Nikko and it is only available in this car on Spacia X. It's an ideal souvenir!
You can enjoy the marriage of chocolate with the appearance of strawberries as it is. The original Spacia X packaging makes it an ideal souvenir (1,600-yen, tax included.)
Tobu Railway will continue to maintain and improve the quality of Spacia X service moving forward.
