RAZ Productions Publishes New Dyslexia-Friendly Edition of Children's Picture Book Razberry Babies: The Great Jam Debate
STUDIO CITY, Calif. - TelAve -- nee A. Spina, an award-winning author and designer at RAZ Productions, is excited to announce the launch of its dyslexia-friendly children's picture book. The new book (ISBN: 978-0977402434), available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, engages young readers ages five to eight through the fun adventures of a little girl named Razberry and her four furry hamster friends.

"It was actually my mother who requested the dyslexia-friendly edition," states Ranee, "and when I asked local public libraries if they had a dyslexia-friendly reading list, they did not." Besides Henry Winkler's Hank Zipzer Series, nothing was readily available for those affected by Dyslexia. Whether it is parents reading to their young children, or children learning to read, publishers should do everything they can to ensure the benefit of reading is not lost.
The Dyslexia-Friendly Edition of Razberry Babies: The Great Jam Debate was a work of love. Dyslexia affects individuals differently, so what helps one person improve their reading speed and accuracy, may not help another. After speaking with subject experts, and children with dyslexia, Spina changed the font, spacing, justification and colors to hopefully reduce visual stress and improve text clarity.
According to The Yale Center for Dyslexia & Creativity, "Dyslexia affects 20 percent of the population and represents 80–90 percent of all those with learning disabilities. It is the most common of all neuro-cognitive disorders."
Spina is encouraging more children to read books, choosing what and how they read for themselves. Children who love Alvin and the Chipmunks will love Razberry's hamster friends Taffy, Cassie, Nuffster and Bandero. The adorable characters' personalities come to life as they debate about which jam flavor is the best.
