~ Chicago City Council Approves Multiple Measures for Planning, Development, Housing, and Human Relations
In a busy session today, the Chicago City Council introduced and approved various measures aimed at improving the city's planning, development, housing, and human relations. These measures were introduced by Mayor Brandon Johnson and his administration.
Among the measures introduced were those related to planning and development, housing, and transportation equity. The council also confirmed Kenneth Gunn as the new Commissioner of the Chicago Commission on Human Relations.
Mayor Johnson also presented an ordinance that would enable a private aviation investment of $150 million at Midway International Airport. This move is expected to boost economic growth in the city.
