Featuring keynote speaker and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Chris Hedges, this urgent community summit marks a pivot in the region's fight to heal the toxic legacy left by General Electric (GE) in the Housatonic River valley on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Taking a cue from USMC Master Sgt. Jerry Ensminger, whose relentless battle exposed the toxic water cover-up at Camp Lejeune, these veterans are framing the fight for clean water as a matter of domestic security and moral duty.

"Following the path blazed by Sgt. Ensminger, we believe veterans are a vital front line in the environmental movement. Our mission to protect didn't end when we hung up the uniform. Chris Hedges will deliver the keynote, "The Blue Renewal," focusing on the necessity of purging industrial toxins from our commons.
