Virginia Veterans for America First State Chapter President Patrick Collis led a team to East Palestine Ohio to follow up on the community needs, during the aftermath of the toxic spill, said Stan Fitzgerald VFAF National President.
Patrick Collis, newly named president of the VA state chapter, along with vice president Preston Hocker and Kimberly Lowe, a candidate for United States Senate, braved the exposure to the contaminated areas during a recent trip to ground zero.
The VFAF led team met with the EPA, ran water tests, and communicated with the Erin Brockovich firm for their data. The VFAF team also interviewed residents who wished to remain anonymous.
