Vismo integrates Vismo Notify with Microsoft Teams for faster mass notification of critical events
TelAve News/10883103
JERSEY CITY, N.J. - TelAve -- Vismo has integrated its "Notify" tool with Microsoft Teams to enable faster mass notification to users of any event that is, or expected to be, a risk to their wellbeing when traveling, working in the office or from home or other remote location.
The move enables Vismo and users of its Locate and Protect App to utilize Microsoft Teams in an emergency or anticipated emergency when necessary – ensuring that critical incident alerts are delivered instantly via Teams on desktop and mobile devices.
Says Colin Dale, Vismo Director of Global Sales, "Seamless, real-time communication during a crisis is essential. As SMS becomes increasingly restricted due to tighter regulations and carrier policies, organizations must adopt smarter, faster and more secure methods to keep their people informed. That's why we linked up with Microsoft to enable us to message our apps users via Teams, as well as other methods we use, to give blanket coverage of our alerts."

Real-time visibility
The integration means that employer organizations can send and receive mass notifications directly from Vismo Notify within Microsoft Teams, maintain high, real-time visibility of employees across the globe – and stay compliant, or improve compliance, with duty of care obligations.
"It also means that our Locate & Protect App users can stay within the tools they already know and trust, without the need to be distracted and use valuable time by switching apps at critical times - all without any increase in cost," says Dale.
Where intelligence about critical events comes from
Vismo subscribes to feeds from intelligence operations organizations specializing in gathering information in real time about events that are a threat, or potential threat, to wellbeing.
The feeds and other intelligence are integrated into the Vismo Secure Portal and app to enhance situational awareness by Vismo and its customers (employee organizations and their staff), and support duty of care obligations through proactive risk management. Where required, the intelligence can be used when creating geo-fences.
