West Pasco HVAC Company Urges Early AC Checks as Above-Normal Heat Forecasted, Offers Free Tune-Up
TelAve News/10896627
PORT RICHEY, Fla. - TelAve -- As forecasts call for above-normal temperatures across Florida heading into summer, Heating + Air Paramedics of West Pasco is urging local homeowners to check their air conditioning systems early—and is offering a free first-time AC tune-up to help reduce the risk of peak-season breakdowns.
The message is particularly relevant in Pasco County, where 21.8% of residents are age 65 or older, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. For seniors, medically vulnerable residents, and families with young children, an unexpected air conditioning failure during extreme heat can quickly become a health and safety concern.
In West Pasco communities such as New Port Richey, Hudson, Holiday, and surrounding areas, HVAC service demand typically spikes during the first sustained heat wave of the season. As a result, appointment availability becomes limited, and minor maintenance issues can escalate into emergency repairs.

"Most AC emergencies are not surprises in hindsight," said Luis Calixto, owner of Heating + Air Paramedics of West Pasco. "The majority of breakdowns we see during the summer months begin as small issues in the spring. Identifying and addressing those early can help homeowners avoid being without cooling when they need it most."
The effort comes as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Climate Prediction Center continues to favor above-normal temperatures for the May–June–July 2026 period across much of the country, including Florida.
According to the company, early-season maintenance can reduce the likelihood of mid-summer system failures and help homeowners avoid higher emergency repair costs during peak demand periods.
To support early-season prevention, Heating + Air Paramedics of West Pasco is offering a limited number of free first-time AC tune-ups for new customers within the West Pasco service area.
