Women in eDiscovery Strengthens Global Leadership with Key Appointments

MINNEAPOLIS - TelAve -- Women in eDiscovery, a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing women in legal technology, is pleased to announce the appointment of two dynamic leaders to its global team: Dawn Garrison as director of marketing and communications and Amy Swaner as director of programming.
These strategic appointments reflect WiE's continued commitment to expanding its global impact and delivering meaningful opportunities for education, connection and leadership within the legal technology community.
In her new role, Dawn Garrison will lead WiE's global marketing and communications strategy, elevating the organization's voice, brand and community engagement. A seasoned marketing leader at Lighthouse, Garrison currently serves as director of proposal marketing and is the founder and steering committee chair of the Military and Allies Standing Together (MAST) employee resource group.

A dedicated member of WiE since 2013, Garrison has held multiple leadership roles, most recently serving as regional director for the Mid-Atlantic chapters. Her long-standing commitment to the organization reflects a deep passion for advancing women in legal technology.
"Women in eDiscovery was instrumental in shaping my early career, giving me the confidence to envision myself as a leader in this industry," says Garrison. "I'm incredibly excited to step into this role and help expand WiE's impact as a powerful force supporting women in eDiscovery."
Amy Swaner joins the global leadership team as director of programming, overseeing WiE's educational strategy across local chapters and its conference portfolio.
A former practicing attorney turned legal technology consultant, Swaner specializes in data governance and the ethical, effective use of AI. She is the founder of Lexara and a certified AI governance professional (AIGP), known for developing practical, accessible resources for the legal community.

Since joining WiE in 2024, Swaner has made an immediate impact, including serving as sponsorship lead for WiECON25. Her leadership and engagement demonstrate a strong commitment to fostering professional development and continuous learning.
"Education and connection are essential as our industry evolves," says Swaner. "I am excited to help build programming that delivers practical insight, meaningful community and the tools professionals need to lead with confidence in a rapidly changing legal technology landscape."
