WASHINGTON - TelAve -- THE SHIELD OF IGNORANCE IS GONE

On September 4, 2018, the U.S. Department of State signed contract 19AQMM18R0131, and in it ANAB — the body that accredits the certifiers — was designated an "underwriter." ISO/IEC 17011, the international standard that sets the rules accreditation bodies must follow, forbids that role outright: the referee cannot play for a team. That single word broke the root of the global accreditation system — and through the MRA and MLA agreements, "certified once, accepted everywhere," every accreditation body equivalent to ANAB inherited the break.

This is not about one titanium hip. But the shield of ignorance is gone now. You have been put on notice, in writing, with the contract number. Every part you shipped from September 4,2018 to  this day forward on a dead certificate is no longer a mistake — it is willful.
