IRVINE, Calif. - TelAve -- Zurich Technology Solutions, Inc. an ISO9001:2015 and TL9000 Certified North American telecommunications equipment and technical services provider announced its participation in the successful trial of Facebook Connectivity's SuperCell technology.  SuperCell is a large-area coverage solution that leverages towers up to 250 meters high and high-gain, narrow-sectored antennas to increase mobile data coverage range and capacity.

Zurich was selected and contracted by Facebook Connectivity to assist with Engineering, Equipment Supply, Site Planning, Deployment, Deinstallation and Logistics for the SuperCell trials in both New Mexico and Mississippi.  Zurich also collaborated with leading OEMs and a prominent rural MNO for these trials. The equipment was installed over the course of two weeks and remained in service for nearly six months until it was successfully decommissioned by the Zurich team.

The SuperCell installation was experimental with antennas placed on an 11-meter tower on top of a hill in New Mexico and three large antennas placed at the peak of a 180-meter broadcast tower in Foxworth, Mississippi.
