2026 Speaker Series Announced at The National Museum of Transportation

ST. LOUIS - TelAve -- The National Museum of Transportation invites the community to explore transportation history, culture, and innovation through its engaging 2026 Speaker Series, featuring a diverse lineup of authors, historians, transportation experts, and community leaders.

The Speaker Series will take place monthly at The National Museum of Transportation, located at 2933 Barrett Station Road, Kirkwood, MO 63122. All presentations are free and open to the public; however, space is limited and reservations are required at tnmot.org.

The 2026 Speaker Series schedule includes:
  • June 11 — Doug Schneider: "Route 66: Celebrating the Centennial in 2026"
  • July 9 — Jim Thole: "The Neon Highway"
  • August 13 — Cheryl Eichar Jett: "Aprons Away: Women's Work on Route 66"
  • September 10 — Annie Blum: "The Admiral and Its Historic Family"
  • October 8 — Ken Velten: "US Airlines: From the Wright Brothers to World War II"
  • November 12 — New St. Louis Lambert International Airport Executive Director: "A Look Forward" (to be announced)

"The National Museum of Transportation is proud to present a Speaker Series that explores transportation history through a wide variety of topics and perspectives," said Terri McEachern, Executive Director of The National Museum of Transportation. "These programs help connect our community to the stories, innovations, and people that shaped how we travel, work, and live. Through these speakers, we continue our mission of preserving and sharing transportation history for future generations."
