ADM Labs Joins Hemp Advancement Initiatives As Industry Stakeholder
TelAve News/10587443
DENVER - TelAve -- The State of Colorado became a national leader in industrial hemp cultivation and production when it launched one of the first successful pilot hemp programs in the United States five years ago. Hemp industry leader ADM Labs aims to further that progress via collaboration with the Colorado Department of Agriculture and the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA). ADM Labs CEO, Arman Motiwalla, will serve as a Hemp Industry Committee member on the NCIA's Hemp Committee as well as a Stakeholder for the Colorado Hemp Advancement & Management Program (CHAMP) with the Colorado Department of Agriculture. The CHAMP initiative received over 150 applications from the private sector; and an additional 80 applications from state, local and tribal agencies as well as institutions of higher education.
ADM Labs believes input from industry leaders/stakeholders is vital to creating state/nationwide management plans outlining how various aspects of hemp cultivation and processing will be managed and regulated. Both CHAMP and the NCIA Hemp Committee will provide industry guidance to develop a comprehensive blueprint for managing and advancing the emerging hemp industry by examining the entire supply chain from cultivation to market, and the steps in between. The CHAMP initiative is a broad stakeholder effort.

In keeping with CDA's core mission to continuously strengthen and advance Colorado agriculture, a key objective of the CHAMP initiative will be to define a well structured and defined supply chain for hemp in order to establish a strong market for the state's farming communities. The collaborative effort includes CDA, the Governor's Office, Department of Public Health and Environment, Department of Revenue, Department of Regulatory Agencies, Office of Economic Development and International Trade, Department of Public Safety, Colorado Commission of Indian Affairs, Department of Higher Education, local governments and industry experts.
ADM Labs CEO,Arman Motiwalla, remarks "We are thankful for the opportunity to speak to the industry's needs as an industry stakeholder. While the hemp industry is growing by leaps and bounds, change certainly is needed and we are hoping the benefit of our experience and industry intelligence will benefit the NCIA Hemp Committee and the CDA's CHAMP Initiative."
