Aeye Systems Introduces ai5: The First Fully Interactive Mobile LPR Platform
TelAve News/10903755
Purpose-built LPR platform combines breakthrough nighttime imaging, low-profile interior cameras, edge AI, and aiPartner to give authorized law enforcement officers hands-free, two-way voice interaction with their LPR system.
WASHINGTON - TelAve -- Aeye Systems Introduces ai5:
The First Fully Interactive Mobile LPR Platform
LPR platform combines breakthrough nighttime imaging, low-profile interior cameras, edge AI, and aiPartner to give authorized officers hands-free, two-way voice interaction with their LPR system.
GLEN BURNIE, MD, August 2026 , Aeye Systems, LLC today introduced ai5, an in-vehicle license plate recognition platform that changes how officers interact with mobile LPR.
Traditional LPR captures plates, identifies vehicles of interest, and presents alerts on a screen. Some systems announce alerts aloud.
ai5 goes further.
At its center is aiPartner, a fully interactive voice-driven intelligence layer. aiPartner delivers alerts, recognizes and responds to the authorized officer, answers follow-up questions, provides information, and executes supported commands without requiring constant screen interaction.

ai5 doesn't simply give LPR a voice. It gives the officer a new way to interact with LPR.
BREAKTHROUGH IMAGING. LOW PROFILE.
Aeye Systems moved ai5's high-performance multi-camera imaging system inside the patrol vehicle, protecting critical hardware and reducing the visible footprint of traditional mobile LPR.
Proprietary Aeye Systems imaging technology captures plates in daylight, low light, and darkness. Combined with global-shutter imaging and NVIDIA-powered edge AI, ai5 delivers real-time recognition in demanding patrol conditions across marked, unmarked, investigative, command, and other law enforcement vehicles.
BUILT FOR THE AUTHORIZED OFFICER.
aiPartner was engineered for the patrol environment. Its voice-processing architecture isolates the authorized officer's voice from road noise, conversations, sirens, and competing sounds.
Police radio communications remain the priority. aiPartner remains silent during radio traffic and delivers or repeats important information when the channel clears.
OFFICER IN COMMAND. ACCOUNTABILITY BUILT IN.

ai5 maintains an audit trail of system activity and officer interactions, providing oversight into how LPR information is accessed and used while supporting transparency and responsible use.
"Cognitive load is the unspoken tax on patrol technology. For years, we've added more screens, alerts, and controls, but not more simplicity. ai5 changes that. It increases awareness while reducing the demand on attention. The system watches the road. aiPartner delivers information through natural voice. The officer stays focused on driving, situational awareness, and decision-making."
Scott Rutherford, Co-Founder & CIO, Aeye Systems.
For decades, mobile LPR has been something officers operate. ai5 makes it something officers interact with.
More awareness. Less distraction. Officer in command.
ai5 is available for law enforcement fleet deployments beginning Q4 2026.
