AltQuick.com to Delay Bitcoin Testnet 5 Listing Until Official Bitcoin Core Merge
TelAve News/10903291
The platform will wait for official Bitcoin Core integration before listing Testnet 5 to protect developers and traders from potential network resets and early chain instability.
DOVER, Del. - TelAve -- AltQuick.com today announced that it will support Bitcoin Testnet 5 only after the network upgrade is officially merged into Bitcoin Core, rather than listing it upon initial mining activity.
Testnet 5 is the proposed successor to Testnet 4, designed to eliminate difficulty-adjustment exploits present on previous test networks and align test environment rules more closely with mainnet, including full enforcement of BIP 54 from the genesis block onward.
AltQuick will hold off on listing Testnet 5 if public mining begins prior to formal Bitcoin Core adoption. By waiting for official integration, the exchange aims to protect users, developers, and integrators from potential network resets, software bugs, or coordination failures that have historically impacted early, unofficial test networks.

"We've seen early testnets suffer from resets, and managing a reset is far easier prior to an official Core release than after," said Steven Steiner, Founder and CEO of AltQuick.com. "We want to ensure our users and developers are interacting with the finalized, official release rather than a temporary chain. Once Bitcoin Core officially merges Testnet 5 and demonstrates stability, we will add full support."
AltQuick currently provides trading and testing infrastructure for Bitcoin Testnet 3 and Testnet 4, alongside a range of digital assets paired against Bitcoin. The platform features a free faucet, a full order-book exchange and a no-account swap tool, Quick Swap.
