DALLAS - TelAve -- The New Texas Symphony Orchestra (NTSO) is delighted to announce that UTA alumna and Adjunct Faculty member in Conducting, Andrea Ramírez, has been appointed Assistant Conductor for the 2025–2026 season.

A Los Angeles native, Ramírez brings extensive experience and a passion for orchestral music and leadership to the NTSO family. As a dynamic conductor and accomplished violinist, Ramírez has cultivated a career that bridges performance, education, and arts leadership. Her artistic journey has been marked by unforgettable highlights, including sharing the stage with Grammy Award-winning artist Aida Cuevas, conducting her undergraduate program's Gamer Symphony, running supertitles for the world's first mariachi opera, Cruzar la cara de la luna, and leading the UT Arlington Symphony Orchestra in a moving performance of Peer Gynt Suite No. 1.

Ramírez holds a graduate degree in Orchestral Conducting from the University of Texas at Arlington and a bachelor's degree in Music Education from California State University, Northridge. In addition to her new role with the NTSO, she serves as an adjunct faculty member in conducting at the University of Texas at Arlington. Ramírez is simultaneously pursuing a performance certificate in conducting and serving as assistant conductor of the UT Arlington Symphony Orchestra.

The New Texas Symphony Orchestra's 2025-2026 season is packed with exciting performances. ALL NTSO concerts are free and open to the public.
