From the brink: award-winning broadcaster richard j hannah stages remarkable return with nationwide radio launch

TelAve -- In a powerful testament to resilience and the enduring power of live radio, award-winning broadcaster and musician Richard J Hannah is set to make a triumphant return to full-time broadcasting. Starting July 4th, Hannah will launch "The Weekend Magazine," a Broadcast East  produced radio show that will be syndicated across the UK on DAB, online, and community radio platforms.

This launch represents a monumental comeback for Hannah, a former Sky TV presenter and military veteran, who has spent the last five years battling severe health issues, including bowel cancer and partial sight loss. Despite these challenges, he is returning to the airwaves with a renewed vigour and a three-hour weekly show that promises to be a staple of weekend listening. Hannah was not only stationed in Norfolk, he returned to the County after service to settle  attending both Addenbrooke's and the QEH for his treatments.

"The response has been overwhelming," said Hannah. "I am really, really excited to be back producing regular shows. To have Broadcast East sign up nearly 50 stations for this new venture is humbling. Radio is about connection, and after the years I've had, I can't wait to reconnect with the audience and have some fun."
