LANDOVER, Md. - TelAve -- Barter Black®, a tech-enabled bartering marketplace and community for Black entrepreneurs and startup founders, will celebrate its five-year anniversary with the launch of BarterCon™, a hands-on business-building conference taking place February 19, 2027 in Landover, Maryland.

Built around the message "Bartering is back. Now it has a conference." BarterCon™ will bring together just 50 ticketed entrepreneurs for a day focused on implementation, collaboration and progress.

Unlike traditional conferences where attendees spend the day listening, taking notes and leaving with more work to complete later, BarterCon™ is designed for entrepreneurs to bring the unfinished work with them.

"Entrepreneurs go to conferences, get inspired and take pages of notes, but then they go home to the same website that still needs to be finished, the sales strategy they still need to build or the marketing they still need to figure out," said Nicole Murphy, Founder and CEO of Barter Black®. "I want us to get in the room and actually work on those things together."

BarterCon™ will feature a Build Room and Growth Room, six hands-on Business Activations, two Creative Reset Experiences and eight entrepreneur vendors.

The Business Activations will be shaped by what registered attendees say they most need to accomplish in their businesses, making implementation central to the experience.

Every attendee ticket also includes 100 Barter Bucks℠, the trade credits used within the Barter Black® ecosystem. Attendees can use them during BarterCon™ with participating vendors.

Barter Black® allows Black entrepreneurs to exchange products and services without requiring a direct one-to-one swap. Members earn Barter Bucks℠ by providing products or services to one member and can use those trade credits with another business.

BarterCon™ will also celebrate five years of the Barter Black® community through the Barter Black® Member Impact Awards and opportunities for entrepreneurs to apply as Business Activation hosts, Creative Reset Experience hosts and vendors.

Early Bird tickets are available through September 30, 2026, while seats remain. Pricing is $119 for Barter Black® members and $149 for general admission.
