TelAve News/10890301
BIRMINGHAM, U.K. - TelAve -- BCOP, a Birmingham charity now celebrating its 80th anniversary year, has received two nominations at the Housing Digital Housing Innovation Awards 2026.

The charity was shortlisted twice in the Most Innovative Approach to Resident Welfare category, recognising its damp and mould solution and resident coaching approach.

BCOP's damp and mould solution focuses on early intervention, clear communication and practical action to protect residents' homes and health. Its resident coaching approach provides personalised, strengths-based support to help people in our sheltered housing build confidence and maintain independence. This reflects the charity's long-standing commitment to person-centred housing.

The Housing Digital awards celebrate innovation across the UK housing sector, with nominations and winners including large national housing providers and developers.

Helen Gore, Chief Executive at BCOP, said: "It's genuinely lovely to see a smaller organisation like BCOP recognised alongside much larger housing providers. We may not be the biggest, but we are deeply committed to putting residents first. These nominations reflect the dedication of our teams and the care they bring to their work every day."

Founded in Birmingham and rooted in the city ever since, BCOP continues to invest in practical improvements that make a real difference to local residents — proving that innovation does not always have to mean scale, but it should always mean impact.
