TelAve News/10899944
~ The Commission on the Status of Women is calling upon local artists and entrepreneurs to take part in the upcoming 2026 Women's Market. The event, which will be held on Saturday, Aug. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bloomington City Hall, aims to provide a platform for individuals to showcase and sell their handmade goods, art, and other products.

In collaboration with the Bloomington Community Farmers' Market, booths will be set up throughout City Hall for vendors to display their unique creations. This presents a valuable opportunity for participants to reach a wider audience and potentially increase their sales.

The Commission on the Status of Women was established in 1973 by a group of local women leaders who were passionate about addressing the gender pay gap in Bloomington. Their goal was to identify barriers hindering gender pay equity at a local level and explore opportunities for progress.
