In a recent meeting, the Boston City Council expressed its unwavering support for the upcoming 2026 Mayor's Youth Summit. The event, which aims to uplift youth voices and promote civic engagement, is a testament to the city's commitment to its young residents.
The resolution, put forth by Councilors Murphy and FitzGerald, also commended the Office of Youth Engagement and Advancement for their efforts in creating meaningful and youth-centered programming throughout Boston.
The Mayor's Youth Summit was first launched in 1994 under Mayor Thomas M. Menino and was held annually for ten years as a flagship youth engagement event.
