The governor's proclamation highlighted the important role that California's 21 regional centers play in providing community-based developmental services and support to over 214,000 individuals with autism. To further support individuals with autism, the state has established an Autism Hub at the Department of Developmental Services. This hub operates a helpline to assist with inquiries and requests for assistance, as well as connecting people with resources related to autism.
