Due to its convenient location near Los Angeles and its significant footprint for the Games, Long Beach is being considered as a premier location for Games stakeholders to utilize during the 2028 Olympics. The 2028 Olympic Games, hosted by the City of Los Angeles, will take place from July 14 to July 30, 2028, while the Paralympic Games will be held from August 15 to August 27, 2028. Long Beach has been selected as a Venue City for the Games and will host a total of eleven sporting events for the Olympics and seven for the Paralympics.
