Colorado: Governor Polis Celebrates New Azure Printed Homes Facility, Helping Build More Housing Coloradans Can Afford
TelAve News/10893367
DENVER ~ In a move to address the housing shortage in Colorado, Governor Polis, along with Eve Lieberman, Executive Director of the Office of Economic Development and International Trade, and Maria De Cambra, Executive Director of the Department of Local Affairs, celebrated the grand opening of Azure Printed Homes' new facility in Denver today.
The 25,000 square foot facility is expected to create 50 good-paying jobs and produce 352 units per year. This innovative company uses a patented 3D printing process to create complete prefab small homes using primarily recycled plastic polymer materials. The printing process can also be transferred to smaller pop-up facilities near the final destination of the homes.
Governor Polis expressed his excitement about Colorado leading the way in building more affordable housing. He stated that there is no one solution to the housing shortage and that they are exploring all innovative options to build more homes and save people money.
Eve Lieberman also praised Azure Printed Homes for their contribution to a more resilient economy in Colorado. She mentioned that their work aligns with their goal of ensuring that Coloradans can live in communities they love and close to their jobs. The company's growth is being supported by the Proposition 123 Affordable Housing Financing Fund.

Gene Eidelman, co-founder and CEO of Azure Printed Homes, expressed his appreciation for Colorado's forward-thinking policies that remove barriers and incentivize scalable construction methods. He believes that this new facility will allow them to bring their expertise directly to the region and help communities build faster and more affordably while addressing critical needs such as workforce housing and solutions for homelessness.
With the opening of this new facility, Azure Printed Homes is poised to make a significant impact in the housing market in Colorado. Their use of innovative technology and commitment to sustainability aligns with the state's goals and will help create more affordable homes for its residents.
