Governor Polis expressed his excitement over the 34% decrease in auto thefts in 2025, which is a 56% reduction since 2021. The state of Colorado has seen a consistent decline in motor vehicle theft (MVT) crimes for three consecutive years now. Additionally, it was reported that 80% of all reported auto thefts were successfully recovered in 2025.
