~ A teenage juvenile male has been charged with the death of another teenage juvenile and the serious injuries of two others following a fatal traffic crash in Colorado Springs on April 22, 2026. The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) announced on May 20, 2026, that they had obtained an arrest warrant for the teenager, who turned himself in later that day.

According to CSPD, the driver was estimated to be going between 25 and 39 mph over the speed limit at the time of the crash. They also believe that he failed to stop for a traffic control device and violated restrictions associated with a minor driver's license.

The incident occurred at the intersection of North Academy Boulevard and Lehman Drive. The teenager has been charged with reckless endangerment in addition to the fatality.
