Colorado Springs: Donut Day on Pikes Peak — America's Mountain June 6 and 7 offers sweet treats and a mountain adventure

Pikes Peak ~ As the summer season kicks off, Pikes Peak – America's Mountain is inviting residents and visitors to celebrate Donut Day on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7. This annual event will feature high-altitude donuts, special Ranger Talks To Go audio episodes, and an interactive sticker challenge.
According to Pikes Peak officials, three special "Donut Day Ranger Talks To Go" episodes will be available on preferred podcast platforms starting Friday, June 5. Guests are encouraged to download the episodes before or during their visit to the mountain and listen along as they learn about simple ways to care for Pikes Peak's unique environment and explore the history of the famous Pikes Peak donut.
Each episode will also include a hidden code word. Guests who collect all three code words and recite the final phrase to a ranger or gift shop employee will receive an exclusive Donut Day sticker while supplies last. For those who are unable to listen to the podcast, transcriptions of each episode will be available on most podcasting platforms for guests who are hearing impaired or prefer to read along.

Participation in Donut Day activities is free with a visit to Pikes Peak – America's Mountain. However, guests must pay the toll gate fee and reserve timed-entry or shuttle tickets for June 6 or June 7 at DrivePikesPeak.com. It is important to note that on these two days, Pikes Peak Highway will have a delayed opening due to Pikes Peak International Hill Climb activities. Access past mile 6 will not be permitted until after 8:30 a.m.
