~ The City of Colorado Springs has announced that a portion of Hopeful Drive will be closed for approximately nine months starting the week of October 20. This closure is due to the replacement of a bridge over the Templeton Creek channel as part of the Park Vista Drainage Improvements project.

During this closure, through traffic will not be allowed on Hopeful Drive between Sedate Way and North Blissful Circle. Detours will be in place for both drivers and pedestrians. However, all dates and work are subject to change depending on weather conditions.

The Park Vista Drainage Improvements project is being undertaken by the City's Stormwater Enterprise in order to address drainage and flooding issues in the Park Vista South Neighborhood. These improvements aim to alleviate historical problems with the Templeton Gap Floodway.
