Colorado Springs: Issaquah Drive to close south of Dublin Boulevard starting Tuesday
TelAve News/10882698
~ As part of the ongoing Dublin Boulevard Improvements project, Issaquah Drive south of Dublin Boulevard will be closed for construction and traffic signal installation starting on Tuesday, Dec. 2. This announcement was made in a press release by the city's Department of Transportation.
According to the release, Issaquah Drive north of Dublin Boulevard is almost complete and is expected to reopen on Tuesday. However, during daytime working hours on Tuesday, crews will be painting new lane lines on Dublin Boulevard near Issaquah Drive. This will temporarily move all traffic to the north side of the road.
Once this work is finished, Issaquah Drive south of Dublin Boulevard will be closed until late January for full reconstruction. In preparation for this closure, the center median on Dublin Boulevard west of Marksheffel Road has already been removed. This has created temporary left-turn lanes into nearby businesses.

While Issaquah Drive is closed, drivers can still access these businesses using a temporary entrance just 300 feet away. The businesses located south of the closure will remain open during this time.
For those who may miss the main entrance to Mustang Rim Drive, there will still be access via Dublin Boulevard. Signs will be in place to guide drivers through a detour using Issaquah Drive and Peterson Road.
The city's Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan their routes accordingly and follow all posted detours and signs for their safety and convenience during this construction period.
