Columbia Regional Airport sees highest passenger numbers since 2019

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Regional Airport (COU) has reached a significant milestone in passenger growth, with 11,306 departing passengers recorded in September. This marks the highest monthly total since December 2019, showcasing the airport's increasing popularity among travelers.

The strong community support and growing demand for local air travel options have contributed to this achievement. In fact, a total of 21,534 passengers arrived at and departed from COU in September through American Airlines service alone.

The recent addition of United Airlines' flights to Chicago O'Hare and Denver on Sept. 25 has further boosted passenger numbers. It is expected that the total number of passengers will exceed 22,000, making it the highest monthly total in recent years.
