(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia's Stormwater Utility has announced the reopening of Vandiver Drive to through traffic between Sylvan Lane and Nelwood Drive, starting this Friday, Nov. 21. This comes after the completion of a major infrastructure upgrade aimed at preventing future flooding in the area.

The project, which involved replacing eight existing stormwater inlets and pipes with 10 new inlets, six stormwater structures, and approximately 2,080 feet of new stormwater pipe along Vandiver Drive and Sylvan Lane, is expected to significantly improve drainage. The new system will also connect to a regional detention basin.
