CTeL Awards Dr. Andrew Taylor the 2025 Tr-AI-lblazer Award for Excellence in AI-Driven Healthcare

WASHINGTON - TelAve -- The Center for Telehealth and e-Health Law (CTeL) is thrilled to announce that Dr. Andrew Taylor, MD,MHS, Director of Artificial Intelligence for the Department of Emergency Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, has been named the recipient of the 2025 CTeL tr-AI-lblazer Award. This prestigious honor recognizes his transformative contributions to artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in healthcare, particularly in emergency medicine and ethical AI governance. Starting March 1, Dr. Taylor will transition to UVA School of Medicine as the Vice Chair of Research and Innovation and Professor of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Taylor's pioneering research leverages AI to enhance clinical decision support, streamline emergency care workflows, and reduce systemic health disparities. His innovative applications of large language models (LLMs), predictive analytics, and machine learning have led to groundbreaking advancements, including real-time sepsis detection, opioid use disorder surveillance, and AI-assisted dementia recognition in emergency settings. His work not only improves patient outcomes but also ensures AI tools are equitable, transparent, and rooted in ethical implementation.
