NEW ORLEANS - TelAve -- Rally4Vets, the flagship program of the Disabled Veteran Empowerment Network (DVEN), has arrived in New Orleans as founder and decorated Vietnam veteran Robert Hess continues the Rally4Vets America Grand Tour, a 37 day, 6,554 mile journey across 16 states commemorating America's 250th anniversary.
During his visit, Hess will meet with members of the local community, veterans, and supporters while continuing Rally4Vets' mission of raising awareness for veteran mental health, connecting veterans with resources, and supporting service dog programs for veterans living with PTSD and other invisible wounds.
New Orleans marks another meaningful stop on the nationwide tour, bringing Rally4Vets' mission to one of America's most historic and resilient cities. Throughout his visit, Robert welcomes opportunities to connect with local veterans, community organizations, and residents while honoring the service and sacrifices of those who have defended our nation.
"Every community has veterans whose stories deserve to be heard," said Hess. "This journey is about bringing people together, honoring service, and reminding veterans that they are never alone."
