Editorial Freelancers Association to Exhibit at Chicago Book Expo
TelAve News/10478675
NEW YORK - Nov. 10, 2016 - TelAve -- For the third year, the Editorial Freelancers Association will be exhibiting at Chicago's biggest fall literary event: the Chicago Book Expo. The expo will be held at the city's Columbia College on South Wabash Ave. this Sunday, Nov. 13, from noon to 5 p.m.
"The expo focuses on local presses and writers, as well as local publishing professionals," says Will Tyler, coordinator of the EFA's Chicago chapter. He adds that the EFA's attendance at this event "shows Columbia College's creative writing students that there is a professional network available for their writing endeavors, whether they're looking to hire an editor or become one."
Since its inception, the show has gathered over 70 exhibitors, including nonprofits and associations like the EFA that serve the writing and publishing communities. Guest speakers, author readings, panel discussions and even bilingual/Spanish programs have been included.

"We're attending the Chicago Book Expo to draw awareness to what the EFA does—both nationally and in the Midwest—and to celebrate Chicago's vibrant literary history," says Lindsey Alexander, chairperson of the EFA's Events Subcommittee.
Founded in 1970, the EFA is a national nonprofit professional organization with over 2,500 members, including writers, editors, copy editors, proofreaders, indexers, translators and others who work in publishing, communications and related fields. "EFA members can provide every editorial skill that is necessary throughout the publication process to provide a finished product of top quality," says Bill Keenan, EFA co-executive.
