Energy Doesn't Pick Sides — Commercial Businesses Are Paying the Price
TelAve News/10881729
New data from major news outlets shows commercial power costs accelerating across all sectors, prompting companies to seek procurement and optimization alternatives.
MIAMI - TelAve -- Energy Agent founder David Anthony announced today that commercial businesses across the United States — from large corporations to regional chains and family-owned operations — are facing rising energy costs that cut across political, geographic, and economic lines.
"Whether a company leans left, right, independent, or doesn't care about politics at all, the outcome is the same," says Anthony. "Energy doesn't pick sides — but it is picking apart commercial budgets."
The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reports that retail electricity prices have increased faster than inflation since 2022, hitting commercial and industrial customers especially hard due to demand charges and capacity costs. Major outlets including Forbes, Fox News, Harvard Law School, and CNN Business have also documented sharp increases tied to grid demand, AI data centers, infrastructure expansion, and fuel market volatility.

To address these challenges, Energy Agent offers two solutions:
BEAP — Billing Energy Agent Program
A program for businesses in deregulated states that bids electricity or natural gas supply rates on their behalf. BEAP involves no equipment, no installation, no permits, no fees, and no obligation, offering companies a simple pathway to reduce energy procurement costs.
OTEA — Optimizer Technology Energy Agent
A product available nationwide that installs at the facility's electrical panel. OTEA reduces energy waste, eliminates harmonic distortion, improves power optimization and correction, protects equipment, and lowers peak strain. The system qualifies as a tax-deductible equipment upgrade.
"BEAP reduces what you pay, and OTEA reduces what you waste," says Anthony. "Together, they create meaningful savings for businesses that are tired of absorbing rising utility costs."

For commercial facilities, operations directors, and property managers, Anthony emphasizes urgency: "Energy isn't just another bill anymore — it's a strategic risk. But businesses still have the power to act."
