'Farm House' Film from BayView Entertainment Homages Original Slasher Horrors

Rocker-turned-Filmmaker Frank Palangi fashions frightening film inspired by rural county serial killing stories
POMPTON PLAINS, N.J. - TelAve -- New Jersey-based film distributor BayView Entertainment, Inc., announces the release of its latest horror thriller, Farm House. Part horror slasher, part police procedural, the movie leans into urban legends to tell a terrifying and compelling tale.
Inspired by stories of serial killings in a rural setting, it depicts a community gripped with fear, and law enforcement officials baffled. Writer-director Frank Palangi and his co-writer, Andy Scullin cast their version with a masked killer, an uncertain and frustrated police department, and a True Crime podcaster inserting himself into the investigation.
When not making films, Frank Palangi is a working musician, performing with some of the biggest names in rock and collaborating with acclaimed music industry producers. His experience creating music videos organically led to an interest in filmmaking. Hailing from the same territory where the murderous incidents were said to have been committed, Palangi took the opportunity to shoot Farm House in isolated locales that lend an eerie authenticity that adds to the chills.

Like many genre film directors past and present, when it comes to casting actors, Palangi has a stock group of players he likes to draw from. Jolie Wells (Say Cheese), Aaron Michael Lambert (Say Cheese 2), and Conor Walsh (Warren County) have all appeared in previous Palangi productions. Expanding from there, Palangi brought in horror and cult film stalwarts Gary Miceli (My Movie Starring Paul Dano) and Genoveva Rossi (Attack of the Killer Chickens) for key voice roles.
"My friend Andy Scullin and I got to talking about the original Halloween being my favorite and Friday the 13th being his," says Palangi. "We decided, hey, let's get the actors I know together and do a slasher throwback style that we all know and love. This film came out of the love of filmmaking and what we want to keep alive in the horror community. Made on a super low budget but with huge passion!"
