Florida: MEMORANDUM: Flags at Half-Staff in Honor of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day

~ Governor Ron DeSantis has declared that flags will be flown at half-staff on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in honor of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. This day marks the anniversary of the Japanese attack on Naval Station Pearl Harbor in 1941, which resulted in the loss of over two thousand American lives and left over one thousand injured.

In a statement released by Brian Fienemann, Director of Real Estate Management and Development, Governor DeSantis expressed his respect for those who lost their lives and the brave veterans who fought for our nation during World War II. He also emphasized the importance of remembering this tragic event in our history and honoring those who sacrificed for our country.

To show this respect, Governor DeSantis has signed a Proclamation directing all local and state buildings, installations, and grounds throughout Florida to fly the flags of the United States and the State of Florida at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on December 7th.
