ATLANTA ~ Governor Brian P. Kemp of Georgia has announced that Cirkla, a global leader in molded fiber solutions, will be investing over $5 million to establish a new food packaging manufacturing facility in Gainesville. This project is expected to create approximately 140 new jobs in Hall County over the next three years.

In a statement, Governor Kemp expressed his excitement about Cirkla's decision to build their facility in Gainesville, stating that it is a testament to the state's strong logistics capabilities and assets. He also highlighted the investments made by the Georgia Ports Authority, including the newly opened Gainesville Inland Port, which have helped deliver products to markets all over the world.

Cirkla, known for its expertise in material science, product design and development, mold design, laminations, and coatings, helps brands meet their packaging sustainability goals. The company's CEO Vaibhav Goel stated that their manufacturing facility in India has successfully implemented this technology in demanding protein categories and with the growing demand in the US market, it was time for a domestic footprint.

The new Cirkla manufacturing facility will be located at the Gainesville 85 Business Center in Hall County. It will feature state-of-the-art technology and equipment to support Cirkla's full portfolio of molded fiber products such as MAP and overwrap trays. The facility will also have patent-pending technology, precision automation, in-house quality labs, and expanded finishing capabilities.

Gainesville Mayor Zack Thompson expressed his gratitude for Cirkla's decision to choose their city as its North American manufacturing headquarters. He believes that this investment reflects the strength of their community, workforce, and business environment. Mayor Thompson also mentioned the successful partnership between the city and Logistics Property Company in developing advanced manufacturing spaces at Gainesville 85 Business Park.
