Georgia: Gov. Kemp: Preciball USA Invests $17 Million in Screven County

ATLANTA ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Brian P. Kemp revealed that Preciball USA, a precision and industrial ball manufacturer, will be investing $17.6 million in a new production facility in Screven County. This investment is expected to create 65 new jobs over the next several years.

Governor Kemp expressed his pride in Preciball USA's growth and their contribution to Georgia's status as the number one state for business. He also highlighted the success of programs like the Rural Site Development Initiative in providing resources for businesses and individuals to thrive.

Speaker Jon Burns also praised the company's decision, stating that it is a testament to Georgia's efforts to bring high-quality jobs to all corners of the state. He believes that this investment will provide long-term employment opportunities for the citizens of Screven County.

Preciball USA's products are used in various industries such as bearings, pumps, valves, and swivel joints. The company's primary offices are located in Pooler, but their new manufacturing facility will be situated at the Georgia Ready for Accelerated Development (GRAD)-certified Screven County Industrial Park in Sylvania.

Don Peak, Executive Vice President of Preciball USA, shared his excitement about expanding their workforce in Georgia and supporting the region's economic growth. The company will be hiring for positions such as management, engineering, quality technicians, industrial maintenance, and production roles starting in 2027.

Chairman Stephen Milner of the Screven County Development Authority expressed his gratitude towards Preciball USA for choosing their community for this project. He believes that this investment reflects years of preparation at the Screven County Industrial Park and will bring long-term economic value to their community.

Chairman Will Boyd of the Screven County Board of Commissioners also emphasized the positive impact this investment will have on their county. He stated that it will strengthen their tax base, create quality jobs, and allow them to plan responsibly for future growth.

The Georgia Department of Economic Development's (GDEcD) Global Commerce team, in partnership with the Screven County Development Authority, Georgia Ports Authority, and Georgia Power, played a crucial role in bringing this project to fruition. Senior Regional Project Manager Dorie Bacon represented GDEcD and expressed her excitement about Preciball USA's decision to invest in Screven County.
