New Disability Navigation Office Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony set for June 30

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - TelAve -- Community members, partners, and families are invited to celebrate the grand opening of a new Disability Navigation office in Charlotte County, expanding access to critical support services for individuals with disabilities and their families.

Operated through Goodwill Southwest Florida's Disability Services, NavAbilities, is a Disability Navigation program providing personalized guidance to help families connect with essential resources and services. The program simplifies what can often be a complex and overwhelming process by assisting individuals with navigating eligibility, applications, and services - including, but not limited to, the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD).

Beyond applications, NavAbilities serves as a central hub for support, connecting families to healthcare, therapy, education, and community resources while assisting with paperwork and follow-up every step of the way.

The new office, located at the Port Charlotte Goodwill Community Resource Center (CRC), 24123 Peachland Blvd., Port Charlotte, represents a significant step in expanding access to these services for Charlotte County residents.

"With the opening of our Charlotte County office, we will expand our reach, provide more one-on-one support, and connect more individuals to critical services sooner," said Jessica Tursi, Director of Disability Services & Navigation. "This expansion is about access, connection, and making sure individuals with disabilities and their families have the support they need close to home."

The ribbon-cutting event will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the NavAbilities program and how it supports individuals and families on their journey toward greater independence and quality of life.
