~ Governor Greg Abbott has recently made appointments to the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology, with Ken Stout being appointed and Faraz Khan, M.D. being reappointed for terms set to expire in 2031. Additionally, Khan will continue to serve as the chair of the board. The main responsibility of this board is to regulate the practice of radiologic technology.

Stout, a resident of Ropesville, brings a wealth of experience to the board as he currently serves as the senior radiology manager at Covenant Children's Hospital. He is also an active member of various professional organizations such as the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, Texas Society of Radiologic Technologists, AHRA: The Association for Medical Imaging Management, and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Stout holds a Certified Radiology Administrator credential from the Radiology Administration Certification Commission and has received degrees in both Associate of Applied Science in Radiology from South Plains College and Bachelor of Science in Radiology from Midwestern State University.

Joining Stout on the board is Faraz Khan, M.D., a radiologist at Radiology Partners Houston. He has been reappointed by Governor Abbott and will continue to serve as chair. Khan is also actively involved in professional organizations such as the American College of Radiology and the Texas Medical Association. In addition to his work in medicine, he also volunteers with organizations such as Houston Food Bank, Interfaith Ministries, and Doctors Without Borders. Khan received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He completed his radiology training at Washington University in Saint Louis.

The third appointee to the board is Regan Landreth from Salado who is the owner of Landreth Enterprises. Landreth brings previous experience serving on the Dental Hygiene Advisory Committee and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University.

These appointments are subject to Senate confirmation, but Governor Abbott is confident in the qualifications and experience of these individuals to serve on the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology.
