Governor Abbott Congratulates Texas Restaurants On 2025 MICHELIN Guide Texas Recognition

~ The highly anticipated 2025 MICHELIN Guide Texas has been released, featuring a total of 140 restaurants located in the greater Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio areas. Among these establishments are 18 one-MICHELIN-Star restaurants and four MICHELIN Green Star eateries. The selection also includes Bib Gourmand restaurants, which recognize great food at a great value, as well as Recommended eateries.
Governor Greg Abbott expressed his congratulations to the selected Texas restaurants and their teams for their achievements. He stated that the recognition from the prestigious MICHELIN Guide only adds to the state's reputation for world-renowned restaurants and rich flavors that can only be found in Texas. The governor also highlighted the impact of the foodservice industry on the state's economy, supporting over 1.3 million jobs and contributing more than $199 billion.
The official release of the MICHELIN Guide Texas took place at a ceremony in Houston last night with support from Travel Texas. During the event, chefs and restaurant teams were honored on stage for their outstanding accomplishments.

Tim Fennell, Director of Travel Texas, also shared his excitement about the guide's return to Texas for its second year. He emphasized how it continues to make history by recognizing the state's longstanding barbecue traditions as a cuisine worth traveling for while showcasing its diverse range of flavors.
