With over 3.5 million small businesses in Texas, representing 99.8% of all businesses in the state and employing almost half of all working Texans, chambers of commerce are an essential support system for the backbone of the economy. These organizations play a significant role in strengthening local businesses of all sizes and contribute to Texas' continued dominance as an economic powerhouse.
Earlier this year, Governor Abbott celebrated another milestone for Texas as it won the prestigious Governor's Cup for an unprecedented 13th consecutive year and 21st time overall. This award is given annually by Site Selection to recognize the top-performing state for job-creating business relocations and expansions.
