TelAve News/10871564
Phoenix, AZ ~ Phoenix, AZ - In an effort to alleviate the financial burden of prescription drugs for Arizonans, Governor Katie Hobbs has signed an Executive Order to join ArrayRx, a multi-state public pharmacy collaborative. This move will allow Arizona to access discounted prescription drug prices and join a consortium of member states including Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Ohio, and Connecticut.

The ArrayRx Pharmacy Benefit Management platform and related pharmacy savings programs have been proven to lower the cost of prescription drugs by up to 80%. This initiative demonstrates the state's commitment to finding solutions for the high cost of medication and strengthening its negotiating power.

Governor Hobbs stated, "For too long and for too many families, rising costs, including prescription drug prices, have put the Arizona Promise out of reach. We are changing that." She added that this action will keep money in Arizonans' pockets and create pathways to health and wellbeing.

Trevor Douglass, Director of the Oregon Prescription Drug Program and ArrayRx Steering Committee Member, expressed his excitement about Arizona joining the program. He said, "ArrayRx is more than just a program; it is a testament to the power of unity and cooperation." He also extended a warm welcome to Arizona residents and emphasized their inclusion in ArrayRx as the beginning of a journey towards healthcare security for all.

The ArrayRx Discount Card program offers several key features that make it beneficial for users. It is free to join with no membership dues or transaction fees for participating pharmacies. The card provides broad coverage for all FDA-approved prescriptions as well as discounts on over-the-counter medications and supplies such as diabetes test supplies.

Participating users can save between 80% on generic drugs and 18% on brand-name drugs per prescription. The card can be used at over 65,000 participating pharmacies nationwide. Additionally, online tools are available for transparency where users can compare medication prices and search for pharmacies on the ArrayRx website or mobile app.

One of the most significant advantages of joining ArrayRx is its privacy-first model. Unlike for-profit discount programs, ArrayRx does not sell user data. This program also offers peace of mind for users by helping them manage maintenance medications and providing security in cases of insurance loss or gaps in coverage.

ArrayRx is governed by a steering committee of experienced public servants with over 200 years of aggregated experience in pharmacy service programs. These professionals offer their knowledge and expertise to Arizona, spanning both the public and private arenas. They share a fiduciary responsibility that is not found elsewhere in the pharmacy benefit management industry.

To learn more about ArrayRx, visit their website and read the Executive Order signed by Governor Hobbs. With this new initiative, Arizonans can look forward to significant savings on their prescription medications and a more transparent and secure healthcare system.
