Governor Polis Celebrates Grand Opening of Colorado Quantum Innovation Center
TelAve News/10904115
LOUISVILLE ~ Journalist: Today, Governor Jared Polis of Colorado joined Infleqtion, a global leader in quantum computing and sensing, to celebrate the grand opening of their new global headquarters in Louisville. The Colorado Quantum Innovation Center is a testament to the state's growing technology sector and its ability to attract businesses and strengthen the economy.
In his statement, Governor Polis expressed his pride in Colorado's role as a leader in America's quantum future. He also highlighted how Infleqtion's new center is a reflection of the state's growing appeal to businesses.
The grand opening of the center coincides with the increasing recognition of the Boulder-Louisville-Broomfield corridor as "America's Quantum Peak." This region is home to more than 30 quantum companies and has a thriving ecosystem that includes industry, national laboratories, research institutions, and academia.

The roots of this region can be traced back to JILA, a joint institute of the University of Colorado Boulder and the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Founded in 1962, JILA has produced four Nobel Prize-winning physicists whose work has laid the foundation for modern quantum science.
Elevate Quantum, which is designated as the Tech Hub for this region by the federal government, serves as an anchor for over 100 organizations across Colorado and the Mountain West.
Two years ago, Colorado was recognized as a quantum leader when it secured over $40.5 million in federal funding as an Elevate Quantum Tech Hub. Currently, it is home to over 35 quantum companies - making it second only to one other state - with a focus on areas such as sensing, materials, and communications.
The opening of Infleqtion's new center further solidifies Colorado's position as a hub for quantum innovation and highlights its potential for continued growth in this field. With its strong ecosystem and support from both government and private sectors, Colorado is well-positioned to lead America into the future of quantum technology.
