Harlem Bookworms Expands Into a Music-Powered SEL Learning Brand for Young Children
TelAve News/10905310
Harlem Bookworms, a children's educational entertainment brand created around music, storytelling and positive learning experiences, is expanding its growing universe of original songs, characters and educational content for children ages 3–8.
NEW YORK - TelAve -- Harlem Bookworms, a children's educational entertainment brand created around music, storytelling and positive learning experiences, is expanding its growing universe of original songs, characters and educational content for children ages 3–8.
Inspired by the energy, culture and creativity of Harlem, Harlem Bookworms uses music and entertainment to introduce young children to social-emotional learning (SEL), literacy, confidence, friendship, emotional regulation, growth mindset, school readiness and everyday life skills.
At the center of the brand is an expanding catalog of original children's music designed to make learning memorable and fun. Its signature song, "I Am Growing Everyday," captures the central message behind Harlem Bookworms: children can continue learning, improving and becoming more confident one day at a time.

The Harlem Bookworms universe also features original characters, including Bookie, the brand's friendly green bookworm mascot, alongside a diverse cast of young characters who help bring educational concepts to life through songs, stories and animated content.
Rather than separating entertainment from education, Harlem Bookworms is being developed as a connected learning ecosystem. A child may first discover a song through a streaming or social platform, experience the concept again through animation, and eventually explore the same lesson through an educator-led activity.
"Children remember the things that make them feel something," said Harlem Bookworms creator Antoine Maurice King. "Our goal is to make positive messages about learning, confidence, kindness and personal growth as memorable as the songs children already love."
Harlem Bookworms is also developing resources for educators and schools, including structured lesson plans built around selected songs. The long-term vision includes expanded animated programming, educational videos, books, classroom resources and licensing opportunities that allow teachers and families to extend the learning beyond the music.

The brand's focus on culturally positive characters and community-centered storytelling is designed to give children an educational world that feels energetic, encouraging and welcoming.
Harlem Bookworms will continue expanding its original music catalog and animated content while developing new ways for families, educators and schools to incorporate its songs and characters into early childhood learning.
