Readers' Favorite 5-Star Review: "This great book aims to teach young people how to harness the power of their brains so they can live happily."
WASHINGTON, D.C.
MindOverMatters LLC announces the November 19, 2024 release of a new children's personal development workbook series, also for parents and educators, introducing concepts about how the brain and mind work while incorporating reader interaction.
Brainy's Mind Over Matters Series is written by subject matter expert Madelaine Claire Weiss, LICSW, MBA, BCC, a Harvard-trained licensed psychotherapist, and board-certified executive-career-life coach—to facilitate resilience, empowerment, and curiosity in school and life.
The series launches with its first installment, What's Your Story?: Building Your Best Adventures in School and Life, where readers meet Brainy, a smart and friendly guide who teaches kids that thinking is like having conversations with your brain—about what is happening in the world, what we hope will happen, what the challenges may be, and how we will try to make our lives as amazing as we can. Sometimes thinking makes things better. Sometimes thinking makes things hard. By knowing about the brain, we can work together with it to fill our lives with great adventures that are more interesting and fun—in school and life.

The interactive book, with writing prompts and thinking exercises, invites young explorers to understand their inner and outer worlds, how the brain makes up stories for us to live in, and how to write their own life stories filled with their own dreams, discoveries, and joys.
The seed for Brainy's Mind Over Matters series was planted when, as a child, Madelaine lost her father to work stress related illness. This tragic event was formative to her own career path, where she now helps busy professionals, executives, and entrepreneurs master their minds so they can have happier, healthier, prosperous, and productive lives for themselves and all the big and little people counting on them. Her children's book series aims to help kids in a similar way by introducing concepts about how the brain and mind work while incorporating real-life examples, storytelling, and an interactive element that fosters a better understanding of themselves, their emotions, and their development.
