Cedar hunts perfection while Morgan defends dominance as playoff picture tightens ahead of Saturday's bracket reveal
CEDAR CITY, Utah - TelAve -- Utah 3A high school football hits its final week, and playoff positions hang in the balance across both regions. The official bracket for the 2025 UHSAA 3A Football Championships airs on KSL Sports at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 18, setting the stage for a 13-team playoff.
3A North: Morgan Controls the Top Spot
Morgan stands unbeaten in region play at 4-0 (8-1 overall) with a stingy defense allowing just 18 points in four games. The Trojans have secured the top North seed and likely a top-three overall position in the state bracket.
Grantsville and Logan share 3-1 region records, with Grantsville's stronger overall mark giving it an edge for the No. 2 slot. Ogden and Union, both 1-3, hover in the middle tier and could land between seeds 7 and 10 once RPI rankings settle. Ben Lomond remains winless, looking toward rebuilding next season.

3A South: Cedar Stays Perfect
Cedar's unbeaten run continues at 9-0 overall and 5-0 in region, fueled by an offense averaging 44 points per game. A win this week would cement the Reds as the probable No. 1 overall seed.
Manti and Juab each sit 3-2 in region, with Manti holding a slight tiebreaker edge. Juab, 7-2 overall, could jump ahead by beating North Sanpete on Friday. Richfield, North Sanpete, and Canyon View hover around .500, setting up a wild finish for mid-tier seeds. Carbon, winless in region, closes its season out of contention.
